IMPORTANT TASKS
- Implementation of the KYC check/appraisal for new and existing customers in compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Review of (international) ownership and control structures based on corporate law documents to determine the beneficial owner
- Execution of personal screenings (PeP, sanctions, watchlists and adverse media) as well as background checks
- Analysis and assessment of complex (international) financing structures to check the source of wealth and source of funds
- Enforcement of meaningful customer risk assessments and careful documentation of the checks carried out
- Technical contact person for customer advisors as well as direct customer contact to request and collect information and documents as part of the KYC check
- Taking project responsibility regarding continuous (further) development of the department
BEST PRECONDITIONS
- Successfully completed studies in the areas of finance, economics, law or a comparable training or qualification
- Hands-on relevant experience in regulated financial environment, particularly in the areas of KYC, AML, CTF, Compliance or Anti Financial Crime (AFC)
- Relevant experience in analyzing and preparing complex (international) shareholder structures
- Profound knowledge of regulatory provisions (e.g. AMLA, BaFin AuA) and best practices (e.g. FATF, EBA)
- Excellent time management to proactively manage workload even within tight deadlines
- Strong ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new or complex issues
- Deep entrepreneurial understanding and a solution-oriented mindset
- Self-sufficient, structured and careful way of working as well as strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Loyal, professional and serious demeanor towards internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German (practice-tested)
- Additional certifications such as ACAMS, CFE or comparable qualifications
- Experience with international, large volume and commercial loan financing
- Application experience with Agree21 and Compliance Catalyst
