IMPORTANT TASKS

  • Operational liquidity management and ensuring solvency at all times and compliance with regulatory liquidity ratios
  • Hedging interest rate and foreign currency risks by negotiating and concluding trading transactions (including derivatives and FX) and refinancing transactions
  • Preparing reports on market price and liquidity risks and maintaining/continuously updating the corresponding tools
  • Preparing meetings (in particular liquidity updates, asset liability Committee)
  • Determining the cost of funds for customer lending transactions and close coordination with and advising the lending departments on refinancing costs and treasury-related matters
  • Managing the bank's securities portfolio, including selecting/purchasing securities in line with the applicable ALM strategy (“Investment Guidelines”)
  • Collaboration in the further development of the strategic positioning in various market price and liquidity risks as well as the asset-liability management of the bank
  • Collaboration in the development and optimization of processes in the treasury environment, taking into account the current regulatory requirements

BEST PRECONDITIONS

  • Degree in business administration, economics, finance, or comparable training or qualification with a focus on finance
  • Hands-on professional experience in banking or finance, ideally with a focus on treasury-related issues (e.g., refinancing, market or interest rate risks)
  • Basic knowledge of liquidity management and understanding of refinancing instruments and relevant financial products (e.g., money market, securities, derivatives, FX)
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills and the ability to prepare and evaluate complex financial relationships in a structured manner
  • Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with treasury, risk, or reporting systems is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently, in a structured and responsible manner
  • Risk awareness when dealing with high-volume trading transactions and confident compliance with time and regulatory requirement
  • Strong communication skills and confident manner when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
  • Ability to work constructively with international interfaces, especially when communicating with corporate treasury at group level

Optional:

  • Experience in an international work environment
  • IT affinity and interest in the further development of treasury systems and processes
